Weighting decides whether your stakes count at all
Weighting is the exchange rate between the money you stake and the turnover you clear. It is stated as a percentage per game category, and at zero it means a category can absorb unlimited staking without advancing the obligation by a single unit.

Reading a weighting table
A weighting table is a list of game categories against percentages. The percentage is the share of each stake that reduces the outstanding turnover. Everything about the table is decided by the operator, and its structure is usually more informative than any single number in it.

Two things follow. First, the multiplier is not comparable across bonuses unless the weighting is comparable, because the same 40x can represent very different amounts of real staking. Second, a category at zero is not merely slow, it is inert. Play there while a bonus is active and the obligation stands exactly where it was, however long the session runs.
Partial weighting, worked once
Suppose a category is weighted at 50 percent and you stake 10 in it. Five counts towards turnover. If the outstanding obligation is 500, you have covered one percent of it with that stake, and the next 10 in the same category covers another one percent. Doubling the weighting halves the staking needed; halving it doubles the staking needed. That relationship is the entire content of the table.
The practical habit is to check the weighting of the game you actually intend to play before you claim, not after. If the category you enjoy is weighted at zero, the honest conclusion is that the bonus is not compatible with how you want to play, and the right number of that bonus to claim is none.
One further caution. Excluded titles are often listed by name, and lists change. Because the list is maintained by the operator, it can be adjusted, and an adjustment is not something a player can rely on having seen.
